Who these terms cover
Hive & Wonder is the learning-space business founded by Tanya Mingolla and Nancy Cho. These terms cover our website, consultations, learning-space planning and setup, educational guidance, and material rental services. You must be an adult with authority to arrange services for the household or organization involved.
Our published policies take effect on the date shown. Contacting us, exploring the website, or sending an inquiry does not create a paid service agreement, start a membership, or authorize a charge.
Before services begin
Before you commit, we provide a written service agreement or order naming the contracting provider and its contact details, the setting, agreed scope, prices, payment dates, membership arrangements, material ownership, visit or delivery arrangements, and any separately approved purchases. We ask you to accept the agreement and the applicable policies before charging you or starting paid work.
Your written order supplies the details specific to your service. A specific term may vary these policies only when the change is clearly identified and separately accepted before commitment. Mandatory legal rights always take priority. We do not treat silence, a website visit, or a general inquiry as acceptance of new charges.
Educational support and service boundaries
We design and prepare learning areas, provide selected materials, introduce their use, and guide the adults supporting the children. Children develop at different rates. We do not promise a particular learning outcome, academic result, diagnosis, or timetable.
Our services do not include taking custody of children, babysitting, transportation of children, medical treatment, developmental diagnosis, or licensed therapy. A parent, guardian, or the setting’s authorized caregiver must remain present and responsible during child-focused demonstrations. We will not provide a service that requires a license or professional qualification we do not hold.
For a preschool or other organization, the operator retains responsibility for its licensing, staffing, supervision, child permissions, accommodations, and compliance. Our work does not certify a room or program as licensed, code-compliant, or approved by a school or regulator.
Access, installation and property
You must have authority to give us access and approve changes to the space. Tell us about access restrictions, fragile surfaces, pets, and hazards before a visit. Obtain landlord, property-owner, or organizational permissions when needed.
We agree furniture purchases, mounting, anchoring and installation details in writing. Structural alterations, electrical work, plumbing, construction, and a whole-home childproofing inspection are outside the standard service. Where specialist work is required, it must be arranged with a qualified professional before the affected area is used.
We take reasonable care with your property. Report an installation or property concern promptly so we can investigate and agree a remedy. These policies do not release us from responsibility for our own conduct.
Prices, payments and changes
Setup charges and membership charges are separate. We provide the total price and disclose mandatory fees, applicable taxes and any delivery costs before acceptance. Optional add-ons require approval. We do not impose undisclosed administrative, cleaning, cancellation, or payment-method fees.
The website currently has no checkout or payment collection. A future payment facility will identify the payment provider and payment terms before use. Do not send card numbers or banking passwords through our inquiry form, ordinary email, or voicemail.
We do not increase an accepted setup price without an agreed scope change. A membership price change applies only prospectively, after the required notice and your express acceptance. You may cancel rather than accept. No recurring charge begins without the required separate consent.
Respectful visits and communications
Both clients and our educators must communicate respectfully and maintain a safe working environment. We may pause or end a visit for a material safety risk, threats, harassment, or unlawful conduct. We explain the reason where it is safe to do so and handle unused prepaid services under our cancellation policy.
A temporary interruption does not authorize indefinite billing for services we cannot provide. If illness, weather, access restrictions, or another event prevents a visit, we discuss a replacement time or a refund for the affected undelivered service.
Website content and appropriate use
Website information describes our services generally. Availability, dates, material quantities, and a booking are confirmed in writing. Generated concept images are identified as illustrations; they are not proof of completed client projects. Third-party resources and educational philosophies do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
We or the applicable rights holders own the website text, brand and imagery. You may read, print and share links for personal or internal planning. Do not copy our original content for commercial reuse without permission, impersonate another person, submit malicious content, or interfere with the site. Separately licensed assets remain subject to their own licenses.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those sites control their own content, terms and privacy practices. We cannot guarantee continuous website availability or the behavior of third-party services.
Problems, responsibility and your rights
Contact us with a service or billing concern, including the date and enough information to identify your agreement. We will consider the facts and work toward a fair resolution. You do not have to give up a complaint, honest review, charge dispute, small-claims remedy, or other legal right to use our services.
Nothing here waives rights that cannot lawfully be waived, excludes liability for our negligence, fraud, willful misconduct or unlawful acts, or limits remedies for personal injury, unsafe products or property damage. Each party remains responsible under applicable law for its own acts and omissions.
We do not require binding arbitration or a class-action waiver. Applicable consumer protections and court rules determine governing law and where a claim may be brought; these terms do not force you to a distant court or prevent contacting a regulator.
Updates and policy contacts
We date and publish policy changes. Material changes to an existing service require notice and, where required, express agreement; they do not apply retroactively to completed services or eliminate accrued rights. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
