How to cancel
Email hiveandwonder@gmail.com with your name, the service or membership you want to cancel, and enough information to identify your agreement. You can also call (714) 794-5652 and tell us, or leave a voicemail clearly requesting cancellation. Do not include card details or a child’s private information.
Cancellation takes effect when your clear notice reaches the published contact channel, or on a later date you request. Confirmation is a record of your cancellation, not a requirement for it to be valid. We acknowledge within two business days. If you do not receive an acknowledgment, contact us again and keep your original message or call record; a delayed reply does not move your cancellation date. For our acknowledgment time, business days mean Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays; statutory deadlines use their own rules.
You do not have to explain your decision, attend a call, return materials first, or accept an offer to cancel. If we offer online enrollment, we must also provide the legally required straightforward online cancellation method before enabling that enrollment.
Monthly memberships
Our standard membership has no minimum commitment beyond the current monthly period. You may cancel at any time to stop future renewal. Notice received before the next billing period begins prevents that next charge; we do not impose a separate 30-day notice requirement or cancellation fee.
Unless you request an earlier end, access continues through the period already paid for and we arrange material return afterward. There is no automatic prorated refund for choosing to end a correctly supplied current period early. Refunds remain available for an erroneous charge, an undelivered service, a covered defect, or a statutory right.
We do not take recurring payments until you have separately accepted the amount, frequency, renewal terms and cancellation process. Required reminders and renewal or price-change notices are sent before they are due. A renewal taken after a timely cancellation is refunded.
Setup, planning and approved purchases
If you cancel before paid work begins and before any approved purchase is committed, we refund the prepaid setup amount in full. If work has begun, we provide an itemized account of completed work at the agreed rates and refund the unused balance.
We retain a third-party purchase cost only when you specifically approved the purchase and its cancellation terms before commitment, the cost cannot reasonably be recovered, and retaining it is legally permitted. We pass through refunds and recoveries rather than keeping both the item or refund and your payment. Statutory cancellation rights override ordinary deductions.
Visits, coaching and illness
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice when changing a visit or coaching session, so we can offer the time to another family. Our standard policy does not impose a late-cancellation or no-show fee. If a missed visit means paid work remains undelivered, we agree a new time or address the unused payment under this policy.
Reschedule if someone participating is contagious or the space cannot be used safely. We do not penalize a reasonable illness or safety-related postponement. If a specialist or extended service has different scheduling terms, they must be expressly agreed before booking and cannot override legal rights.
When we cancel or cannot deliver
If we cancel before completing a prepaid service, you may choose a replacement time or a refund for the undelivered portion. If an ongoing service cannot be supplied, we stop charging for the unavailable service and address the unused prepaid amount.
Where we end services for a safety concern or serious misconduct, we arrange a safe return of our materials and account for completed work. We do not automatically keep all prepaid money as a penalty.
Home visits, expos and statutory cancellation rights
Some agreements made in a client’s home or at a temporary venue, including an expo, carry a legal cooling-off period. For a covered sale under the FTC Cooling-Off Rule, the usual period runs until midnight of the third business day after the sale. Under that federal rule, Saturdays count as business days, while Sundays and federal holidays do not. Coverage and exceptions depend on the transaction; state law may provide additional rights.
For a covered transaction, we supply the required dated contract or receipt with the seller’s legal name and address, cancellation notice, and cancellation forms in the language used for the sale. This website policy is additional information, not a substitute for those documents. Use the statutory notice method and deadline on your documents; we also accept clear email and phone cancellation notices.
We do not begin nonrecoverable work or purchases during an applicable cancellation period in a way that defeats your right to cancel. For a covered federal cooling-off cancellation, we meet the rule’s refund and collection deadlines, including its 10-day refund requirement and applicable 20-day collection arrangements.
Refund method and payment questions
Approved refunds go to the original payment method when possible. We initiate a refund within 10 calendar days of confirming the amount, or sooner when the law requires. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display it. If the original method is unavailable, we agree a secure alternative.
Contact us about an incorrect charge as soon as you notice it. We provide the basis for the charge and correct mistakes. These policies do not shorten a bank’s dispute window, require a waiver of chargeback rights, or prevent you from exercising consumer remedies.
